Engr. Abdullahi Sule
Governor, Nasarawa State
Governor Abdullahi Sule has brought a business and industrial perspective to the governance of Nasarawa State, pursuing an agenda that places investment, agriculture, infrastructure and human capital at the centre of development.
His administration has worked to position Nasarawa as an investment hub by supporting agricultural processing, especially around the state’s strong sesame and agricultural value chains. Farmers have benefited from the distribution of inputs and equipment, while the government has continued to court private-sector investment in agriculture and solid minerals.
His infrastructure programme includes roads, water projects, schools and health facilities, alongside scholarship opportunities for young people. The administration has also pursued projects aimed at improving the state’s fiscal capacity and creating the space for larger development investments.
The combination of industrial policy, agricultural development and public infrastructure reflects Governor Sule’s effort to convert Nasarawa’s natural and human resources into sustained economic opportunity.
The Daily Times of Nigeria honours Engr. Abdullahi Sule as Outstanding Governor (North Central) for advancing industrialisation, agricultural development, infrastructure renewal and human-capital investment in Nasarawa State.
