Mr. Adebowale Olujimi

Mr. Adebowale Olujimi has distinguished himself as an indigenous energy entrepreneur whose leadership has transformed Emadeb Energy from a small petroleum trading business into an increasingly integrated energy group operating across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors. Under his leadership, the company has built significant capacity in petroleum storage, distribution, retail, LPG and crude oil production.

A major expression of his leadership has been Emadeb’s investment in energy infrastructure. The company operates a large petroleum products terminal in Lagos with storage capacity of nearly 70 million litres, alongside a distribution network serving retail and commercial customers. It also established an LPG plant in Abuja in 2021, expanding its contribution to Nigeria’s broader energy value chain.

Olujimi has also successfully guided Emadeb into indigenous upstream production. Following the 2020 Marginal Field Bid Round, the company secured its petroleum prospecting licence and developed the Ibom Field in Akwa Ibom State. Production commenced in late 2025 and the field is currently producing approximately 4,000 barrels of crude oil per day, with Emadeb investing a further US$150 million in 2026 to expand production beyond 12,000 barrels per day while advancing gas commercialisation.

His leadership therefore represents more than business expansion; it reflects the growing capacity of indigenous Nigerian entrepreneurs to participate across the entire petroleum value chain, invest in domestic production and build competitive energy infrastructure.
