Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has led Lagos through an extensive programme of infrastructure renewal, transportation modernisation, healthcare investment, urban development and public-service reform.
His administration has delivered major road projects and expanded mass transit infrastructure through the Lagos Rail Mass Transit system, including the Blue Line. These interventions are aimed at improving mobility and connectivity in one of Africa’s most densely populated urban economies.
Beyond transport, the administration has continued to invest in healthcare facilities, urban renewal and public infrastructure, while promoting Lagos as a destination for business, tourism and investment. The scale of these interventions reflects the realities of governing a megacity whose infrastructure must keep pace with rapid population and economic growth.
Sanwo-Olu’s leadership has therefore centred on the idea of making Lagos more connected, more functional and more competitive, while improving the quality of life of residents.
