High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi has helped position Tantita Security Services at the centre of Nigeria’s private-sector response to oil theft, pipeline vandalism and the protection of critical energy infrastructure.
Under his leadership, Tantita has worked closely with government security agencies and host communities to monitor oil-producing assets, strengthen surveillance and support the protection of pipelines and other infrastructure in the Niger Delta. The company’s work has become part of the broader effort to improve crude-oil production by reducing losses and disruptions caused by illegal activity.
Pondi’s approach also recognises that security in the Niger Delta cannot be separated from community livelihoods. Tantita has supported initiatives designed to provide alternative economic opportunities, including a sustainable rice-farming programme intended to help communities move away from illicit oil-related activity.
His leadership therefore combines security operations with community engagement and economic participation, demonstrating a model of private-sector partnership in protecting national assets.
